Introducing the KS 620
Imet KS 620 Bandsaw is a market sector leading machine highly recommended for sawing large structural sections and solid materials in a demanding production environment. The unique design of the bow pivot situated below the centreline of the cutting table means the saw blade is inclined at the end of the cut, making cutting of square section and flat materials extremely efficient over standard design machines. This greatly increases cutting performance, extends blade life, and reduces load on the machine components.
Key Features:
- Vice and Material Locking: The vice slides transversely on the work surface, with linear guides, locking, and rapid approach. It includes a standard pressure reducer. The material clamping vice only needs to be fixed once, and the arc can then be rotated for cutting both right and left (up to 60°).
- Large Working Table: The rotating work surface is integral with the arc and blade passage, optimizing the material support system during processing at all angles.
- Cutting Precision: Ensured by the graduated scale on the work surface, which serves as a visual reference for angle cutting. There are automatic stops at 45° left, 0°, and 45° right. The system for detecting degrees of cut is positioned away from the center to increase precision.
- Steelframe and Blade Inclination: The electro-welded steel blade has an inclination of 6° to improve penetration and optimize the cut. The arc rotates on preloaded bearings. The blade tension is 2000kg/cm², with a control microswitch for immediate stop in case of blade breakage or power failure.
- Material Detection Device: The device facilitates the approach of the blade to the material, automatically detecting the start and end cut points. It can be removed to increase the cutting capacity at 0° and 45° (right and left).
- Blade Cleaning: A motorized nylon cleaning brush, driven by a motor pulley, keeps the cutting blade in perfect condition.
- Control Panel: Equipped with a mobile control console with LEDs for blade tensioning, blade guard opening, motor thermal block, and electrical tension. The operator can choose between three cutting end modes: ascent of the bow with stopped blade, ascent of the bow with moving blade, and end of cycle without bow ascent.
Why Choose the KS 620?
