Introducing the KTECH 1202 F3000

The KTECH 1202 F3000 is a high-performance band saw designed for precision and efficiency in cutting large sections of steel and other metals. It is engineered for demanding production environments, offering robust construction and advanced features to ensure optimal performance.

  • 10″ Touch Screen Display: KTECH 1202 has an easy and intuitive interface dedicated to optimizing the user experience. With the CNC system and 10″ touch screen display, the user can manage all machine operations, set up 99 cutting programs, multiple cutting lengths on the same bar, feeder strokes, number of pieces, and blade speed. The display also provides an autodiagnostic feature to detect errors.
  • CNC Managed Axes System: KTECH automatic bandsaws feature a CNC managed axes system (three for both 802 and 1202 models: vice closing, material feeding, and sawframe rotation) that can be set and controlled by the touch screen and SAWFACTORY.
  • Robust Sawframe: The electrowelded sawframe structure developed by our technicians has significant thickness, minimizing vibrations and noise during operations. Band pulleys are supported through large bearings with metal plates for better alignment. Sawframe movement is balanced by a large hydraulic cylinder and linear guides.
  • Precision and Accuracy: IMET automatic and semi-automatic bandsaws use an innovative angle measurement system located outside the machine center, ensuring high precision and accuracy, even on left and right angular cuts.
  • Motorized Sawframe Rotation: IMET’s KTECH and KS NC bandsaws have a CNC managed and motorized sawframe rotation system, where all parameters can be set by the touch screen display. Sawframe rotation is enabled by a hydraulic cylinder.
  • 5° Canted Blade: To enhance material penetration, prevent slowdowns, and extend blade life, KTECH machines feature a 5° canted blade that optimizes the cutting process, even on larger and stronger profiles.
  • Blade Tension: Blade tension is managed by a mechanical/hydraulic system. Ideal blade tension (3000kg/cm2) can be set via the touch screen display and machine software. In case of breakage, the software immediately stops the process, allowing maintenance.
  • Blade Guides: Hard metal blade guides with lateral guide cemented rolls, hardened and rectified with an easy regulation system. The mobile blade guide is automatically positioned next to the cutting area for better alignment and precision.
  • Blade Cleaning: An adjustable and mechanical motorized metal cleaning brush removes residues from the blade during cutting. Standard minimal lubrication prevents liquid dispersion that could affect length measurement.
  • Horizontal Vice: The vice with round jaws securely locks various material shapes and sizes at different angles. It allows locking close to the cutting line on both sides of the bar, simplifying the process at every angle. Jaw height is 370mm.
  • Feeder: KTECH features an integrated feeder with a 3000mm roller table. Feeder movement and repetition are set via the touch screen display. The roller table fully supports the cutting material, with a final scrap-end of 150mm.
  • Hydraulic Unit: The new design hydraulic unit features a low-noise pump and locking valves on all movements, with vice pressure reducers. Most processes are performed with the hydraulic unit switched off, conserving energy and maintaining low oil temperatures.
  • Minimal Lubrication System: The standard minimal lubrication system keeps the material dry, avoiding waste. The system operates in three modes: always on, on only during cutting, and off. If oil levels are insufficient, the display notifies the user.

IMET automatic machines can be connected to the company network and be used remotely thanks to SAWFACTORY and modem. Marking System (Optional)
It’s available for KTECH models the automatic ink marking system that allows impressing a code on cut pieces to ease material selection after the cut: the marking systems work before the cut, and its programming is integrated with the machine CNC (allowing to create a unique program via KTECH touch screen) but it’s equipped with its own independent touch screen display.
Blade Deviation Control (Optional)
It allows always having the cutting process with the right tolerance. It’s possible to set the preferred tolerance based on the needs for a specific material or cutting angle (maximum tolerance: 0.2mm).
Laser Ray (Optional)
To ease the working process, it’s possible to request a special laser ray that points to the cutting line on the material before starting to operate.
Bundle Cutting Device (Optional)
Hydraulic bundle cutting device. Applying the device, the maximum cutting capacity is 1000x320mm, while the minimum capacity is 80x80mm. Minimum scrap-end with bundle: 400mm. If the user wants to use the machine for mitre cutting, the device must be disassembled.
Metal Protection Barriers (Optional)
According to CE law, it’s also available the protection safety system made by metallic barriers that cover the machine on the 4 sides with CNC managed access doors to regulate and control the operator access to the working area.
Safety Photocells (Optional)
It’s possible, if the user doesn’t want a full metallic barriers protection system, to install a pair of photocells instead of one of the metallic sides.

Automatic Loading System (Optional)
Automatic bar loader driven by the saw control software where the bars are automatically fed, consisting of supporting surfaces with a drag chain and loading stations (from 5 to 15). The supporting surfaces can be easily moved thanks to a modular structure. The feeder is provided with a system of blockage of the bar and with vertical aligning rollers and gearboxes to move the drag chains. The system is driven by the software of the saw to which it is connected.
Automatic Unloading System (Optional)
Upon request, it’s available a customized material unloading system with a bar warehouse developed based on the customer requests and needs.
